Skittles.com: Interweb the rainbow. Taste the Rainbow.

Skittles is either crazy or futuristically smart, well…definitely both.  Right now when you go to skittles.com it displays a live search of “skittles” on twitter.  Anything any user says is instantly displayed to the world.  That’s kind of the idea with twitter, but I doubt anyone thought a genuine brand would open themselves up to this access of user to user interaction.

Of course the second the tubes heard about the idea people spammed it with negativity, but the effect wore off as they realized, Skittles didn’t care.  There is no filter here, just genuine openness.  The rest of the site is filled with the other big boys of social web, and all display unfiltered directly on skittles.com.

Congratulations skittles, for having faith in your customers to appreciate such openness and for your awareness to their interconnected thriving world.

jitle you, jitle me, jitle.us Jason Lake, at your service.

Strong passion for technology, strong desire for an ecological solution, and a strong love of good times and great food. Jitle.us is a placeholder for my thoughts and sights, a documented bookmarking of where I've been and what I've loved. I also like to share great articles I read and (hopefully) provide some insightful commentary on what makes it important to you and me.
