Where am I?!
It really hit me getting off the plane that this is the first time I have ever travelled/stayed an entire city trip 100% alone. Combine that with the fact I am as far away from “home” as I have ever been and completely alone in a world that uses a foreign language as their preferred form of communication. I am not a person overcome with more nervousness than excitement, but that is definitely how I felt the first couple seconds walking off the plane.
I have since settled greatly, presently sitting at the airport waiting for my “Limousine” Bus to arrive which will take me directly to the front door of my hotel. I just can’t wait to get there and drop my bags and start to explore. What a huge amazing adventure I begin to tip toe to the base of. Truly looking up at Mt. Fuji preparing for my climb of culture.
Excitement is once again the overwhelming feeling. Including reminiscing on a solo laugh flying over Great Bear Lake over what I believe could have been Alaska or Canada.
Over all, just wanted everyone to know I made it safe with all my bags, next step is getting to the hotel, and then who knows….
