The Cost of Care - National Geographic Magazine

The United States spends more on medical care per person than any country, yet life expectancy is shorter than in most other developed nations and many developing ones.

Click through to see a graph charting nation’s spending vs. life expectancy. I don’t know what the perfect answer is but this definitely shows that the system is failing and must be altered.
