Best of Conan O’Brien’s Writers Strike Episode
The writer’s strike was really a tough time for a lot of people. Tough for my friends that work on TV shows that got put on hiatus. Tough for the overall Hollywood economy as they lost an undocumented number of Billions of dollars during negotiations. But, especially tough for me as it cut Lost’s season in half and now we still don’t know if the people on the tanker are going to get them off the island. Luckily, someone stood up to the challenge of making somewhat watchable television with out the help of a team of writers telling them everything they should actually say. It should come as no surprise to people familiar with his resume, writer on The Simpsons and SNL when people were actually excited to watch, that Conan O’Brien started pumping out some of the best TV out there. It finally forced him to use all of the ideas bopping around his orange quaffed head, and I couldn’t love it anymore.
