Google is developing a streaming communication tool called Wave. This is just a tease but it does sound quite interesting and I am very happy they are letting developers change it and develop on top of it. At first glance it subtly reminds me of drop.io, which is a interesting start up out of NY solving a similar problem in a very beautiful and seamless way.
